the ace hotel palm springs

i have been drawn to berber rugs since i noticed them scattered through the lobby of the shore club in south beach several years ago.  they’ve become a little ubiquitous lately on home blogs and the like, that being said i think they’re still relevant. what i’m finding particularly interesting is the courtship that mid century modern has engaged with morrocan decor. when i was in palm springs last year i grew really comfortable with this style at the ace hotel and the parker. the styles on their own can come across a little too tv set like (are you trying to emulate don draper?) together they form that eclectic original style so many of us seek.
