ok… i really want these. i really love these. i wouldn’t be able to walk in these. i’d sit in these. they remind me of the christian lacroix cross sweatshirt that was featured on anna wintour’s first vogue cover. i am always a sucker for embellished accessories. At age 5 I went exorcist over a calculator with multicolor bejewelled buttons. my mother dragged me out of the store kicking and screaming, only to surprise me weeks later with the masterpiece that would sparkle on my desk for years to come. i think she figured if there was any way i was going to entertain mathematics it would have to be through emerald greens and ruby reds.

soho house- they’re onto something

in honour of my one year membership (and termination of membership) at the soho house i went on a hunt for some photos that inspired me to join in the first place. nick jones (the founder) along with his design team have a real knack for creating undeniably enchanting spaces. forgive my reference but when i’m in the houses i feel like i’m on set of gossip girl, with dim lights, rich painted walls, mature dark wood, and antique tiled floors. i picture chuck bass spinning his bar stool, low ball in hand, smirking as i enter the room in a mink coat. the environment is exceptional, being a member of the club however did not make my own home look like a soho house and as i reflect over the past year i realize that was all i was ever really after.
