winter on point

today i have come to terms with the fact that my skin will not be kissed with sunshine until well into 2014. what better way to celebrate this realization than the hudson’s bay point blanket? they are now on the radar all around the world but growing up canadian they were a staple in the linen closet, we may not have always left them out on display, or turned them into coats and ottomans, but we have always used them out of pure necessity when father winter drowned us with snow, and started pumping aggressive inhumane winds. this holiday season i am going on a cottage getaway with my family, i will wrap myself in bay blankets, light a fire, chug maple syrup, strap on snow shoes, belt out shania twain, refrain from scrolling through obnoxiously sunshiny instagram and be proud to be a canadian.
