controlled clutter

i’m always in awe of those homes that look completely scarce of makeup brushes, old magazines, and whatever else it takes to live. either i need a mega monster home with hidden rooms and closets for days, or my alternative and reality, find a way to artfully organize my clutter in a way that is both aesthetically pleasing and conveniently available. it is an ongoing project that can’t be neglected or it turns to plain and simple mess. i love how this has become an art form and interior category the ‘vignette.’ i’m aware the vignette could be best left at a beautiful sculpture with a bouquet of peonies, and a book of modern art, in my case i have to throw in a few pieces of mail, half burnt out candles, dog medication, and a few beautiful things to make it look on purpose.
