my friend randy showed me a video of ghetto girls getting manicures- they had winding staircase nails guinness world records style, the nails were adorned with more hanging trinkets and glitter than a harajuku girl’s cell phone. randy pointed out to me that perhaps this was a cultural statement suggesting that these woman were so flush they don’t need the use of their hands for mundane daily activities like the rest of us bottom feeders. perhaps the slung coat, eliminating all use of the arm from wrist up is the fashion editor/blogger/street style star’s suggestion of the same notion. one needs a broad shoulder and a willing intern to negate the risk of the fallen coat.
