I like boiled whitefish, my hips are tight, and am an avid crossworder. Maybe I’m hardwired in dog years? To get the crossword, I’ll do most anything. I subscribed to the Toronto Star solely for the purpose of puzzling, trashing the rest, and reading other publications online, I’ve noted coffee shops in other cities where I can sit and synonymize with the purchase of one everlasting espresso shot, I’ve considered brokering deals with my neighbour whereby I purchase their day old papers at a discounted price, and I’ve stolen… When I was living in my in-laws golf community, I took the crossword out of a few papers that piled up in the driveway of a house across the street (they must have been away, there was about a week’s worth)- in other words I thieved the elderly’s sport right from their property- let’s call this rock bottom. Stores sell papers. Seems like a rip off. They sell books of them- absolute no. Printers and internet an option too- blugh, that’s like telling Keith Richard’s to play guitar hero. Having one puzzle a day is the only way to expand my brain and force myself to complete, I need the crunch of the newspaper beneath the blade of my hand, and a felt tip pen (pencils are for non committal rookies.) I have been crossword free for a few days now… Time to get back in the game.

p.s. FYI Oreo’s are Vegan- chew on that… mentally, not physically. Unbelievable how one can misconstrue the way in which to achieve Beyonce’s ass.

i posted about the photographs on maryam nassir zadeh’s online shop a little while back (link.) i’m beginning to think this website may be all i need for style inspiration. i am absolutely obsessed with these looks. i love how they manage to tomboy sequins, and pink. i also love the subtle details that make them so real i.e. arm hair, thin nose ring, imperfect bob- they are magnificently executed. the shop also happens to be a masterful curation of desirable clothing and accessories. i haven’t come across photographs that inspire my street style desires as consistently. might i declare these ensembles to be the ultimate ‘man repelling’ (which i happen to believe means- the RIGHT kinda man luring, or, rather, ‘douchebag decoding.’)

tomorrow i embark on a nicaraguan adventure with my friend jenn. i am a terrible flyer but love travelling too much to let my phobia get the best of me… today is all about keeping myself in check and packing super light with sand, sunshine, and ocean in mind. the town that we are spending most of our time in is san juan del sur, very surf and yoga centric- seems like just what my tensed up muscles are begging for after a long agonizing winter. packing is an easy task for me above are some of my staples by isabel marant, james perse, cp shades, club monaco beach shop, and obv tkees (the closest i can come to being barefoot.)

what’s become perfectly clear is that we are all in a race against time to get the perfect waist belt to cinch our coats come fall. it’s so obvious that i’m disappointed- this is a style i’ve been meaning to get to, surprisingly a good belt is hard to come by. oh isabel… i have to say… loved the show. ever since the wedge sneaker mayhem that’s taken place i’ve been trying to distance myself. it’s almost as hard as weening off of juicy couture in the early 2000’s. these sequin sweater combos, belts, shoe sock options, french girl i don’t care hair, all too perfect for me to deny.
