i love the rustic, effortless feel of striped linen. i go through fazes of clothing- whereby pieces become uniform for weeks- sleep, eat, blog, all but shower in my chosen second skin. this month, it has been an oversized striped linen, cp shades ,knee length dress (some call moo moo- i believe it has an ever so subtle aline shape that saves it from that unrefined title.) has that paris flea feel, the one stripes on linen tend to emote. pillows, throws, table cloths, curtains, bed spread- whatevs always a good choice to blend into the mix.

behind every parisian fashion idol are a couple of coat belting, front tucking, wash and wear locking, makeup free, size 24’s, moving mont blanc with there naturally manicured hands. meet geraldine saglio (assistant stylist to alt,) and capucine safyrutlu ( french vogue’s fashion & market editor.) it’s a little ‘i like invented her’ a la regina george, granted, if i rolled with alt  long enough i’d probably be tempted into her closet essentials (good belt, black leather pants, faded black skinnies, white jeans, military button down, isabel blazer, black suede pump…etc.) but i’d hope to find my own take on the whole amalgam. either way- my takeaway, another couple of girls to inspire the less is more parisian approach.

black on black not technically a color, unequivocally a style

posting on a saturday evening is not my norm but i came across these seductive photos and thought there’s no better time. they’re clipped from the cr fashion book’s 5th issue. i typically gravitate to more relaxed styles but when/if i find the occasion to dress like a sophisticated alluring woman i shall use this editorial as my inspiration. love the photography and styling- so refined. black on black, fine fabrics, and a perfectly placed slit- yes please.
